Your review & opinion of the film is shared by many fans. However you neglect the fact that in the comics Stark, unlike traditional superheros (and he's not a traditional superhero, that's what gives him such an edge)
man while being the secretary of defense. So you see, the movie didn't trample on the comics that he admits he is iron man in comics. This happens when he becomes secretary of defense. He then continues his crusade as ironman, and besides, do you really think this movie would've been better if he kept it a secret, and told that B.S. story that S.H.E.I.L.D. agent gave him?

Loose Talk: Ironman
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS TODAY?WHAT DO YOU CARE ABOUT?
WHO SHARES YOUR VIEWS?
WHAT'S A COMMENTARY BETWEEN FRIENDS?
THIS IS LOOSE TALK.
TODAY I HAVE A COMMENTARY BETWEEN ME AND A FRIEND FROM FACEBOOK. (AS HE WISHED I HAVEN'T POSTED HIS LAST NAME.) WE BROKE THE ICE WITH IRONMAN, AND IT LED TO A DISCUSSION TOUCHING ON MANY SUBJECTS. THE WAY IT WAS CARRIED OUT WAS THROUGH A SERIES OF E-MAILS.

It is true that he does eventually tell he
is Iron Man later on, but i think for the first
movie he should keep it a secret, maybe until
the next movie (like Spider-Man). The "B.S"
story the S.H.E.I.L.D agent had given him
was
his how he covered it up in the early comics,
making Iron Man an employee at Stark Enterprises.
Now there isn't much to come back for in Iron Man.
One of the best scenes in Spider-Man was when he
was in the train with the passengers, his masked got
taken off, the people saw his real face and handed it
back in a way saying that, "this never happened."

U R IRON MAN

May 12 at 8:17pm
Good point, that scene was shockingin the fact that spider-man's identity
was revealed on the train. But the whole alter-ego thing applies differently to each hero. Stark has much power, and thusly doesn't have to worry about protecting himself or pepper or close family or friends.
I see ur point though. it does take away from the norm (but hence he's not a traditional hero, his heroism is based on a search for redemption) and the story ideas are reduced
(keeping it a secret is no longer an issue, and eliminates it as a potential problem). I still think is was an awesome moment, I mean wouldn't you want to do the same. I know I
movies now.It's just
loose talk now, but
it's inevitable,
superheros like
batman and superman,
or ironman and hulkbatman and superman,
(in new hulk movie
Robert Downey jr appears as Mr. Stark),
or any other potentially good team ups.
Hopefully the actors won't think of money,
because getting a good cast together requires
some good actors, and a good production team
(directors, writers, producers, and so forth)In
a way the admittance to being Ironman really leads
up to this potential type of story, a superhero team up.

Well, i guess we can
agree to disagree. I
did hear about the
Samuel L. Jackson
thing but i didn't see
it either. I just want
Iron Man/Tony Stark
to guest appear in
as much superhero
movies as possible.
And to counter on the
comment about "Stark
has much power, and
thusly doesn't have
to worry about
protecting himself or pepper or close family or
friends" in issue #200 (the issue with the big fight
between him and Stane), one of the most
important reasons he went to confront Stane
was because he had captured Happy Hogan,
Pepper and a few others, showing he doesn't
have as much power as it seems.
P.S I know exactly what it
suggests and that's why i made it.

True,
Powerful
men do
have enemies.
Stane was
originally a
competitor
to Stark,
who usurped
control of
Stark industry.
They changed
that too, but
the deception
was a good
twist. I think
mandarin
should be
the villain
in Ironman 2.
Who would
you like to see?
Also, which
villain
do you
want for
Batman?
Why not put
clayface's
origin story
in the next
Batman?
Clayface
was an
awesome
villain on

the animated
series. And
you made
that picture,
wow. That says
a lot. You
honestly
believe
the gov't
"purposely"
allowed
it to happen?
Why would
they
"purposely"
let it
happen
what's to gain?

Ahh, at 7:44pm
Mandarin,
Iron Man's
Lex Luthor.
He would be
perfect but
the hard part
is finding an
actor
that has
Mandarin's
essence.
Another
good person
to throw in
(maybe in #3)
is War
Machine/Jim

Rhodes. Their
fights were
great. I want
to see the
riddler
come back
to Gotham.
Clayface's
origin would
clutter the rest
of the story
(4 this one),
maybe
in the next
one him
and riddler
team up??

That is not
the true
meaning of it
[the profile picture],
i know that it was done
by the terrorists. All im
saying with
it is that they
got a shit
load of
people in

Iraq and
they found
Hussein
living
UNDER-
GROUND.
Why can't
they
find him
when people
are saying
that they are
pretty sure
he is in
Pakistan.
He for
sure isn't
underground
from all the
videos
he has
sent, yet
America
isn't
even trying
to find him
though they
have the Armed
Forces in the
supposed area
of his hiding place.

perhaps
it is the lack
of "mission
priority"
or the
carelessness
in establishing
the objectives
of this war that
make it wrong.
In which case
I do agree with
you. Vietnam war
had the [same]
exact problem,
so lets hope
this ends before
people have
to say no to a

draft. I am worried,
McCain scares me.
Some how I feel he
might win, some how if
he does this country
is more corrupt than
I thought. Things could
change too, he could
gain popularity,
but I really doubt
it. I am done with
being scared. I don't
want a draft either
(it'll never happen,
Vietnam will never
be repeated as long
as people think
and fight over
this stuff).
Riddler
is a cool
villain,

what did
you think
of jim
carrey?
he was o.k.,
captured
the riddler
from the 60's
batman well,
that was a
good riddler.
And yeah

clayface for
the next
batman is
what i meant,
yeah him
and riddler,
that's not
only a different
team up,
but it would
be amazing
to think up
a really good
storyline for
them, give
them motivation
to team up.

The Vietnam war as
Robert Kennedy
put it, had many
brave men involved,
and it wasn't
their lack of bravery
that led to "results",
but lack of
mission priority
or purpose.

It's like

when you
play GTA.
eventually
you get bored
because you don't
have any real
objectives and
what do you
decide to do?
SHOOTING
SPREE!
Going
postal is fun,
but eventually the
lack of purpose
to the spree leads
to you deciding
"this is pointless,
I'm still bored"
and you shut it
off. Lets face it,
it's time for America
to realize there's
no purpose to it,
and put GTA away.
Are you in ninth grade?
May 14 at 9:34pm
I hope Obama wins. Hillary's husband started NAFTA, a free trade agreement with supplements that allows outsourcing or allows our jobs to go to other countries. This adds to unemployment. McCain still scares me, and Ron Paul is too radical, and I heard isn't in it to win. The recent news is John Edwards endorses Obama. He'd be a good V.P. to Obama, if Obama gets the candidacy for Democrats.

Yeah someone born for the role would do. That's if the destined actor is found, and found to be reasonable with salary demands (some get greedy). GTA 4 is THE best in the series, but careful too much of that stuff rots your mind.
And really ninth grade, your more opinionated than I was. But then again I am only a junior, it was only 2 years ago I was a freshman. Take it easy, junior year sucks, mostly work. Take all the easy classes Freshman and sophomore year to get most of the high school credits easy. The Junior year is hardest, but around junior year is when most people take college credit courses. A.P. classes, or programs offered by a local college at the local college. There's also programs offered at school for the college. But take it easy, the SAT or ACT are pains to prepare for, whichever you take. Enjoy GTA 4, the rest of freshman year, and next year. Your only a kid once, so be a kid.

also, while doing the easy classes, pick a extra curricular activity you really like, and stick with it. like a team, or club. Each school is different, but some offer great extracurricular activities. Sports team; robotics team, club, or elective course; debate team; band; photography; etc.
hey maybe you could start a club too. maybe video game club?Music club?
a blog club? movie buff club? idk, enjoy your early high school years. Junior and Senior year, there's hardly time for wasting. can't sit around doing nothing all the time. But if ur good, & you can really manage ur time well, u can do a lot.

Playing Possum With a Possum
Today I met a possum. It was caged, and it was more scared of the crowd that gathered around it than we were of it. It looked very alien with its long white snout and big eyes. It was so petrified, that it did what it does best. I thought it just came back from a taxidermist it was so still.Playing Possum or dead is their only defense mechanism. Possums are nocturnal, which means they spend their time out and about at night. During the day they sleep upside down in trees, with their tails wrapped around tree branches. These disease carrying flea (and tick) bags, also eat rats. This is vital to our cities, especially New York, which has a vast possum population in Brooklyn and Staten Island as well as other wooded or suburban areas. While they do possess a potential to be as much a nuisance to us as rats, they tend to leave us alone. This is probably because while the rats annoy us for food, the possums hunt and eat the rats. So until the rat population is destroyed (ain't happening) possums will never have much to do with us. So if you see one, leave it be, it'll only play possum.

Also, I don't know if you'll see it in the photos, but the Possum had a pouch with a baby possum in it. Like the Australian kangaroo, the possum has a pouch to carry its young in. This possum at first was very still, but as soon as my brother called to his friends in the neighborhood to join in viewing the creature, it became to be more afraid. Soon children pulled out cameras and phones, and began snapping pictures.
It was very cautious as many gathered and pointed their "threatening" objects at it. It really didn't like my camera, started showing teeth as I recorded video footage. Its sharp, hooked teeth looked very intimidating as did it's long claws. These animals should be respected. Meaning if you see one leave it the hell alone. Even though they tend not to attack (not saying they never defend themselves, they might use those hooked teeth to get a hold of tender flesh, or scratch its way through you) they still carry diseases like rabies, and parasites like ticks and fleas. But we are their benefactors because of what possums eat. They are the top of the pest list food chain, from cockroaches to rotting fruit to rats.
To simply put it, it's like the mobsters in the movies fighting among each other. You got your neighborhood pests, your hoods or thugs, or what have you. They compete, and utterly the top banana wins. Although the possum ends up with a happier ending. Usually the top bad guy always gets it in the end because they, unlike the possum, make enemies.
That's pretty much all I know about possums, but seeing one up close was different. I usually never get that close to a wild animal. When do you ever get the chance to? The wildlife in this city are amazing, regardless of our intervention on their habitats, they find a place among us.
I apologize for quality of video, I had low battery. Enjoy! :)

Sorry I know I haven't posted...
I have not been posting on my other blog Live Thoughts of Anthony Francis
I no longer have access, but it's o.k. I needed to take a new approach anyway. The other one didn't get much feedback. Lets see if I can fix this one up. I'll attempt to post once a week. If not, then once every 2 weeks. Also check out other friends you and I share, in case your in my inner circle,
and don't feel bad about negative comments or shy about positive comments. Here's to a new start.
